MONSTROSITY Update June 2013

As of June 2013, eleven new songs have been written for a brand new full length studio album. Drum tracks for a pre-production demo have recently been completed. Mark English has begun laying down guitar tracks and he is about 3 songs deep into it right now. The band hopes to wrap the demo up pretty quickly, and then they will be ready to book time in the studio. Vocalist, Mike Hrubovcak, has completed lyrics for approximately five songs and Lee Harrison will join him in the next few weeks and help finish the lyrics. The songs are coming together the way the band hoped they would and Monstrosity are looking forward to creating another timeless death metal classic. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Kingdom Of Fire", "Radiated", "Cosmic Pandemia" and "Solar Vacuum" and more!!

Floridas MONSTROSITY have arrived in Lima Peru to begin their "Latin American Tour 2010".

While currently writing material for the follow up to their 2007 release Spiritual Apocalypse MONSTROSITY have been preparing a blistering live setlist to devastate all who come across their path. Celebrating almost 20 years of existence MONSTROSITY have had several well known death metal luminaries through their ranks including most notably original vocalist and frontman George Corpsegrinder" Fisher, currently of CANNIBAL CORPSE fame. The band have soldiered on and are still creating the madness that fans have loved since their debut album Imperial Doom (1992). MONSTROSITY have created timeless classics, one after another, including Millennium (1996), In Dark Purity (1999), Rise To Power (2003), and culminating in their finest work yet on the 2007 release Spiritual Apocalypse. The band has cemented a solid reputation on the international touring scene having played in places like Guatemala, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Puerto Rico, as well as numerous tours of the US and Europe. This latest South American trek continues the bands tradition of bringing their metal to the far reaches of the globe by playing a show in the earthquake ravaged city of Concepion, Chile.

MONSTROSITY drummer and founding member had this to say of the bands current status:

¨We´re just now really starting to get going on writing a new record. We´ve had numerous tours to support Spiritual Apocalypse and our fans know by now we like to take our time and create albums that are unique in their own right and not thrown together like so many of our counterparts. We´ve got a few solid ideas together so its just a matter of just continuing on the path were on. As for the summer run we are doing, I think it will be really cool to get back down to South America and show them we can do this better than ever. We will be hitting some places we ve never been to so we recommend you come see this tour!! Playing in Concepion, Chile should be killer too since they probably haven´t had a metal show down there since the earthquake. We will be heading to Europe for some festival shows as well so look for us on the Party San and Brutal Assault stages this August!!!

The Spiritual Apocalypse release is without a doubt the bands strongest to date and we want to make sure everyone has a chance to see us live supporting it. June 26, 2006

Just to catch everyone up to date.... The Europe tour was killer. We had a great time and played all 33 shows of the tour without any show cancellations. Criss-crossing from one side of Europe to the other and then back again was definitely awesome. It was great meeting everyone and hope to get back there as soon as we wrap up the recording of the new record. We have been writing and things are coming along. We will be posting some pre-production demos of the new material on our myspace page soon so watch for that. Probably sooner than later so check it out!! If you still haven't seen the videos we have uploaded on our myspace page then check them out too because they are pretty cool also. One is from Brazil and the other is from Paris.

We are endorsed by Framus Amps and Warwick Bass amps now. They sent us some gear and the stuff sounds pretty cool. We've never been gear whores but we tried this stuff out and its pretty killer. Working on some drum endorsements as well....

We are announcing our appearance at the HELLFIRE MANIFEST this year in Huntsville Alabama on August 26th, 2006. We will be playing on Saturday alongside Hallows Eve, Hellwitch, Quinta Essentia, and more... (check out the flyer at www.hellfiremanifest.com) We are working on some other US shows as well so stayed tuned to our official site (www.monstrosity.us) as well as our myspace site (www.myspace.com/monstrosity1) for updates regarding the new album and upcoming shows.

We've updated the merch page as well.

February 1, 2006

MONSTROSITY have announced the "Triumph In Black" European tour. The tour consists of 33 shows within 33 days with stops in over 12 countries. Support will come from long standing California deathgrinders Deeds Of Flesh who did a full U.S./Canada tour with Monstrosity in 2002. Also on the trek will be underground killers Vile and Impaled. 33 shows in 33 days is a daunting task but thats just what the band hungers for. The band is known for being a touring juggernaut. Having conquered 5 albums and countless US and European tours, the band have also performed in many Latin American markets as well including Peru, Colombia (Rock Al Parque festival - headlining for 80,000 people!!), Mexico (several times including a full tour), Venezuela, Guatemala, and Puerto Rico. The band have endured many ups and downs in their 15 year career. A problem with their first label, as well as numerous line up changes have occured, but the intensity and savage approach of the band still remain intact. Alumni of the band include George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, Pat O'brien, Rob Barrett, of Cannibal Corpse as well as Tony Norman from Morbid Angel/ Terrorizer who has now been officially replaced in Monstrosity by Mark English. The band also welcome to the fold new vocalist Brian Werner who will only add to the growing legacy. The band is rounded out by band leader/founder Lee Harrison on drums, guitarist Sam Molina and bassist Mike Poggione who happens to be featured in the bass corner segment of this months issue of Pit Magazine. The band have a new page on myspace (www.myspace.com/monstrosity1) that features some unreleased versions of demo songs as well as an unreleased remix version of the song "Abysmal Gods". Also, there are postcards posted in the picture section documenting some of the bands travels. Check it out if you get the chance. A new interview with drummer Lee Harrison has been posted too.

The release date for Underthreat's " Behind Mankinds Demise" recording has been pushed back until early 2003. The band has already finished a US tour and more shows are in the planning stages to coincide with the release. The band hail from Bogota, Colombia, but are currently residing in Wisconsin. The release will contain cover art by Jacek Wisniewski who also handles artwork for Vader among others. Underthreat dominate the metal scene in Columbia. SA and will now unleash their amazing 12 song album on the world. We expect "Behind Mankind's Disguise" to strike down all opposition with hammering drums, thick and fiery guitars and demonized vocal growls and to be one of Conquest's best releases.

Monstrosity has been taking a "breather" following the highly successful "Enslaving Europe 2002" tour. The tour brought Monstrosity to 12 European countries including headlining the 10 show "Thrash 'em all" festival tour of Poland. The band was also featured on the cover of "Thrash 'Em All" magazine which is Polands premier metal magazine. The band has had a busy year touring: Mexico, Brazil, US, Europe and Poland. The band plan to re-convene after the new year to finish work on the follow up to IDP. A video has been completed for the song "Destroying Divinity" which was originally filmed in 1999. The director dissapeared with the tapes in '99 but were recently recovered and edited by drummer Lee Harrison. The band is has not determined how the video will see release, though it is probable it will be released on DVD or as bonus CD rom material on future releases.
